After finishing the first year of my master Strategic Product Design at the Industrial Design Engineering faculty, I wanted to take on a new challenge. The idea of spending a year on designing, building and racing a hydrogen powered foiling boat, was music to my ears. Working in a highly motivated multidisciplinary team of 23 students, we face the great challenge with such strict time limits. We will inspire the maritime industry and will be the pioneers pushing the limits. As a student team, we are committed to start innovation. As an Operations Manager, my focus this year will be on finances, partnerships and external communication. With my background in industrial design engineering, I am already quite familiar with the exposure side of this project. However, carrying the responsibility in an managing role is something I am very eager to learn more about. Economics and finance has always been an striking my attention, but I never got the chance to experience this on a bigger scale. The experience and knowledge I will gain in this amazing year, will be extremely valuable to me. Together with the whole team, we will build a foiling hydrogen powered boat. We will learn a lot and the experience we will gain this year will last a lifetime.
