Ever since I was young, I have always been fascinated by ships. I have sailed a lot in my life which has given me a great respect and appreciation for the ocean. It probably isn't very surprising then that I chose to study Maritime Engineering. After having completed my bachelor's, I am really excited to have the opportunity to work on this project at the TU Delft Hydro Motion Team with such motivated and dedicated peers. I want to help show the maritime sector the potential of hydrogen power, to strive for a more sustainable future. This year I am responsible for the height control of the boat. I will help ensure the boat will foil in a stable and efficient manner. In this role I hope to expand my knowledge on the specifics of engineering these specialised vessels. But, also to gain experience in the manufacturing of the boat, and expand my knowledge to other fields.
