The technology in this world around us is developing really fast. With all the developments, our power consumption and carbon footprint also increase heavily. As an Electrical Engineer student that specializes in Power Electronics I am trying to push the boundaries of green energy. I believe that with all new green technologies we can make the world a healthier place to live in and sustain our planet for future generations. Being part of a team that can build a hydrogen powered foiling boat in only one year really fits in this vision. With our project we can show the maritime industry that it is possible to switch to greener technologies to reduce emissions. In my role as Chief Embedded Engineer I can apply all my knowledge and skills that I developed over the years. Our department essentially creates the brain and nerves of the boat. Besides that, we also take care of the energy flowing throughout the system. Coming year I will try to guide my department in the design, production and test process, so that we can contribute to creating a winning boat.
