Team 2010

In 2010, the team started using hydrofoils in the design for the first time. With this boat, the team finished third at the 2010 Frisian Solar Challenge. The hydrofoils ensure that the boat, when it reaches a certain speed, is lifted out of the water. In this way, the boat has a lot less resistance so that with the same power it can now sail about one and a half times as fast as the boat in 2008.
