While being in the final stages of my bachelor Mechanical Engineering, I decided to join Hydro Motion in pursuit of a opportunity to apply the knowledge earned during my studies to a real-life problem. Working to produce a high performance boat that utilizes, what might be, the clean fuel of the future is what this project specifically special for me. Realising that we, as students, are in the process of inspiring the maritime industry to become more sustainable and potentially are making a real impact makes it easy and fun to come to work this year.

As the Structural Analyst of the team, I will be performing finite element method analysations to simulate different loads acting on the boat during its lifetime. For me this is a great way of using my knowledge to contribute to the success of our project and the safety of our pilots. Since I will also be having the responsibilities of safety officer during this year, I will get a broader understanding of the safety protocols involved in production with machines and composites.
