We would like to invite you to the Boat Reveal of the TU Delft Hydro Motion team on Monday 8th of May 13:30!
As a team we took on a huge challenge at the start of this year: showing that it is possible to build a flying hydrogen powered boat in just one year in order to move the maritime industry to a more sustainable world. For months, we have been working hard on producing and assembling every part to make the design of our next-level boat come to life.
On the 8th of May we will finally reveal our boat to the world. And we are thrilled to invite you to celebrate this meaningful moment with us!
We will kick off the event with the story of our one-year journey to design and build an innovative boat. Following the reveal of our boat, it will be christened to wish it a successful voyage in Monaco, where we aim to win the world championship in the Open Sea Class of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. You will have the exclusive chance to see our boat for the very first time with your own eyes. Wondering how we built an innovative next-level hydrogen-powered boat? How to get there
Car
On the A15 (Ring Rotterdam South), take exit 18: Heijplaat. At the end of the exit follow the signs Heijplaat / Havens 2250-2750. Keep following the signs for Heijplaat, straight ahead onto Reeweg and Waalhavenweg. From here, follow the signs for RDM Rotterdam, via Droogdokweg, to Heijplaatweg. Park in car park C. This is located behind the innovation dock and next to the Onderzeebootloods. Parking is free.
Public transport
We advise to plan your route via google maps or 9292. Two options are: By tram or metro to Marconiplein and the last bit by water with the ferry service (approx. 20 min from Marconiplein). Another option is to go by bus or metro to Zuidplein or Slinge and the last part by bus 68 (approx. 20 min from Zuidplein and 15 min from Slinge).
It is also possible to go to the Onderzeebootloods with the watertaxi.
