Damiaan Bertrams

Parterships Coordinator
Ever since I first started sailing as a child, I’ve been fascinated by the maritime industry. That early passion has stayed with me, and it’s one of the reasons I feel so connected to what we’re doing in the TU Delft Hydro Motion Team 2026. I’m now in the final year of my Bachelor in Public Administration at Leiden University, where I study Economics, Public Administration, and Management. This year, I’m also completing a minor in Econometrics at the VU in Amsterdam. This combination gives me both the analytical skills to work with data and the broader understanding of economics. As the Partnerships Coordinator I get to bring those perspectives together for the TU Delft Hydro Motion Team. My focus lies on building strong and lasting partnerships with companies that share our vision for a sustainable maritime future. For me, this project combines my passion for sailing and my academic background into a project that contributes to something that inspires change. Being part of this ambitious and multidisciplinary team feels like a unique opportunity to help show the world what the future of clean maritime technology can look like.
