Hello I’m Emile de Kam, the Vehicle Dynamics Engineer for the Hydro Motion Team responsible for the boat's driveline and steering. I'll be making sure we have the right motor and propeller, and that power is smoothly transferred through the drive shafts, gears and bearings. I’m also responsible for ensuring our boat can be steered precisely in all directions.

I joined the Hydro Motion Team because I wanted to apply what I learned in mechanical engineering beyond theory. Working on a dream team means real responsibility and seeing a project from concept to competition, all within one year. What excites me most is building the impossible within in this short time and racing in Monaco with an amazing group of people who have become close friends. My role contributes to our mission by showing that high performance and sustainability can coexist and I’m excited to keep pushing boundaries while learning more about myself along the way.
