Kyrian Rahimatulla
Chief Embedded Systems
Hello kind stranger. My, you've found yourself in an interesting corner of the internet. You're not lost, are you? Well, since you're here anyway, I might as well tell you a bit about myself, to make you more familiar with these here parts. I'm Kyrian, and I've loved boats for as long as I can remember. When I was little, my parents sent me off to sailing camp every summer. I'll admit that I was not the best sailor, but I got by. In that period I also became interested in engineering. Fortunately I found out that I did have a knack for math and physics. The only question that remained was: what was I going to do with it? Well, as you may know, we've been dealing with a bit of a climate inconvenience lately. This seemed like a good problem to try to tackle, and I wanted to combine this with my fascination with robotics and automation, so I ended up at Electrical Engineering at TU Delft. When I was in the final year of my bachelor, I started to wonder what I should do next. It was in that period that I realized that there was a team at TU Delft that was building a partially automated, sustainably powered... (wait for it)... boat! Lucky me. I decided that I wanted to become chief of the embedded systems department, to train both my engineering skills and my leadership skills. Well, one grueling interview later, and now I'm here, ready to tech support the heck out of this project.
