Ever since I was little, I have been fascinated by technology. While exploring the TU Delft at the beginning of my bachelor Civil Engineering, I discovered the Dream Hall. A place that immediately sparked my interest when I saw all these ambitious and inspiring teams. With a sailing background, the project of the Hydro Motion Team in particular attracted my attention: working on an innovative solution for maritime problems. This year I have the opportunity to work on this challenging project as the financial manager. In this role I am responsible for the financial health of the project, both in the short and long term. The interesting part of this role is keeping an overview of the whole boat as a manager, while searching for an optimal collaboration between engineers and partners. This is a fantastic challenge that I look forward to taking on, working with many different stakeholders on innovations and solutions. Together, we can inspire society to work towards more sustainable maritime innovations for a healthy planet.
