I’ve always been drawn to the idea of Dream Teams, aspiring engineers all coming together and actually building something bigger than any one person could do alone. Being in a professional setting that pulls the best out of everyone is really exciting. That’s what first pulled me toward joining the Hydro Motion Team. After finishing my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, I have been wanting to push myself past what I could learn in class and really dive into the engineering world. Building an actual boat with the challenges of engineering at sea just seemed like the perfect mix of adventure and problem solving. As this year's Driveline Engineer, I will be in charge of bringing the boat into motion, from propeller design to the motor and everything in between. I am aspiring to help realise a reliable and efficient boat of which we can all be proud.
